This calculator applies a culling rate to your total images, then estimates editing time per image based on complexity and experience.
The formula
Images to edit = Total images × (1 − Culling rate)
Total hours = Images to edit × Minutes per image ÷ 60

The per-image times and experience multipliers below are industry-average estimates, not hard data — your own rate will vary with your hardware, presets and the shoot itself:
- Basic (exposure, crop, white balance): ~2 min/image
- Standard (+ retouching, colour grading): ~5 min/image
- Advanced (+ compositing, heavy retouching): ~15 min/image
- Beginner editor: ×1.8 • Intermediate: ×1.0 • Experienced: ×0.7
